Katelynn’s Closet is named in honor of Katelynn Bearse, who died at age nine and a half while waiting for a heart transplant she never received. Every day of Katelynn’s life she had to negotiate medical obstacles. She loved clothing and fashion. When Katelynn looked good, she felt good. It is our hope that the children we serve will feel the same way. After Katelynn died, her parents, Ann and Matt, with their son, Tyler, were foster parents to over twenty children. In 2009, they adopted two of them.
