BENEFICIARIES, DATE ANNOUNCED FOR 2015 SEASIDE LE MANS RACE
(South Yarmouth, MA – January 12, 2015) Five local non-profit organizations have been selected as beneficiaries for the 2015 Seaside Le Mans – The Race for the Cape Cod Community. Each organization has a designated focus for the anticipated $500,000 in funds that will be raised on race day:
Calmer Choice – School Mindfulness Programs
Cape Cod Healthcare – Heart & Vascular Institute
Cape Cod Maritime Museum – School Outreach Programs
Katelynn’s Closet – Providing Essential Clothing for Children
Independence House – Promoting Safe and Healthy Relationships
All race donations and sponsorships are sent to The Cape Cod Foundation, which distributes the funds to the designated beneficiaries. Over the past fourteen years, the race has raised over $4.5 million for Cape Cod organizations through sponsorships and matching grants.
The 15th Annual Seaside Le Mans – The Race for the Cape Cod Community will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12pm – 4pm at Mashpee Commons. The annual fundraiser, presented and underwritten by The Davenport Companies, features teams of sponsors driving Formula One karts during a four-hour endurance race on an outdoor track to determine the winner. The Davenport Companies, which covers all event related costs, works with F1 Boston to organize and manage the race. The event is free to spectators, and also features entertainment and children’s activities.
Corporate and individual driving sponsorships range from $1,700 – $10,000 which provide the opportunity to participate in the endurance race and a practice session several weeks prior to the race, as well as an invitation to the sponsor dinner. All equipment is included, no racing experience is required and all sponsorships are tax-deductible. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license.
